The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that there were 20.5 Million job losses in the month of April, which was a record number, but in line with estimates. The Unemployment Rate increased from 4.4% to 14.7%. While there were 22.4 Million job losses, over 6 Million people left the labor force, bringing that figure down to 156,000. It would have been higher otherwise.
