Initial Jobless Claims showed that there were 203,000 individuals that filed for unemployment benefits for the first-time last week. This was 10,000 lower than the previous week, which was unrevised at 213,000 and 15,000 lower than estimates of 218,000. But don’t be fooled by the lower reading…Last week, which is the period this report measured, was a holiday week. And because of that, there were a lot less individuals filing for unemployment.
