Initial Jobless Claims showed that there were 205,000 individuals who filed for unemployment benefits for the first-time last week. This was 3,000 higher than the previous report, which was little changed. Remember that unlike many other reports, the lower the number the better here, as it shows less people are being laid off and filing for benefits. Claims remain at very strong levels.
